About
On Thursday, 28 May 2008, after being admitted to the hospital for what was thought to be asthma and respiratory distress with a touch of pneumonia, I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer. It’s in my right breast. It’s in my liver and one of my lungs. It’s in my spine. It’s in my lymph nodes. It’s spreading, very rapidly, through my body through my bloodstream.
And I’m pissed.
This blog is about the existential struggle of woman against nature AND against herself. It’s about truth vs. delusion, lies vs. deceit, humour vs. sadness, and life vs. the alternative. It’s a windy ride through never before visited roads with camera and computer at the ready to “capture the moments”.
This blog is my way of coping and is dedicated to my friends, little dog and every other creature brave enough to get in the car with me and come along for the ride. I’ll do my best to make sure there are lots of good snacks along the way. It’s also dedicated to AW - the biggest gun-toting, knife-wielding coward in the world. Enjoy viewing this life through that prism of yours.
RIP little dog. I miss you so. 1992 - 2009, just shy of his 17th birthday.
