Eileen Matis-Wong left us Oct. 3rd, 2009 at 4am
She fought a brave battle with breast cancer but in the end she succumbed to the deadly disease. Eileen had chosen to deal with the disease her own way. She leaves behind many friends and family who loved her and will miss her dearly.

” Along the Road”
I walked a mile with pleasure;
She chattered all the way.
But left me none the wiser
For all she had to say.
I walked a mile with sorrow
And ne’er a word said she;
But Oh, the things
I learned from her
When Sorrow
Walked with me.

On this Thanksgiving Day I thank God for letting me have such a wonderful sister in law for all the years we did have together . A lesson to us all to cherish every day and say ” I love you ” to everyone in our lives. Don’t let the day pass without telling the people in your life that they are loved and they matter .

Well, another year has begun and we benefit from your courage as Amanda ( your nephew Brian’s fiancee ) goes though her cancer treatments . You have paved the way with your courage, strength and honesty and we are forever greatful to you and the thousands of women like you who have led us in battle.

Well, last month saw Dad turn 88 and he misses you beyond words. He can’t understand how a parent can live so long and have to bury his child. His grief is almost unbearable as it is for all of us who loved you. Mom is likewise heart broken and puts her faith in God to try to understand. Still so hard , so painful….
Miss you. Gina
